Hi BAI Community,
We would like to discuss a couple of important updates about BAI DAO with you.
- Token Allocation Update:
Over a month ago, we allocated 50,000 BAI for what was planned to be one of the biggest exposure events for the project. This included several live events with highly reputed figures in the crypto industry.
Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. Shortly after signing the deal, these parties began selling BAI heavily before delivering any promised activities.
After some time doing so they dropped the $BAI price from its fresh ATH (1.5$ on Oct 04) to a new ATL, they even asked us to buy back the tokens due to the lack of market liquidity for them to sell more. This clearly demonstrated their lack of belief in their own ability to deliver the promised traction, as they had not initiated any of the planned events.
This unexpected action negatively impacted the token’s value. After considerable efforts, we managed to cancel the deal and are working on retrieving all the tokens. Some are still vested so we have to wait for the unlock.
The 50,000 BAI tokens will be returned to the DAO treasury, reducing the circulating supply from 620,000 to 570,000 BAI. - Proposal for a Single DAO:
Initially, we planned to maintain two separate DAOs for the future development of the BAI platform—one directly integrated into the BAI Web Apps and another on Power Protocol (Waves). However, upon further analysis, we realized that engaging users to vote across multiple platforms presents challenges and is not optimal for participation.
To streamline governance and focus community efforts, we propose consolidating our DAO strategy to maintain only one DAO. The 4,000,000 BAI initially allocated for the second DAO would be burned to ensure a transparent and efficient approach, while at the same time reducing the amount of BAI from 10,000,000 BAI to only 6,000,000 BAI in total.
The current DAO can already be accessed through:
We invite the community to share their thoughts and opinions on this proposal. Let us know if you support this idea or if there are alternative suggestions we should consider.
Thank you for your continued support in shaping the future of BAI DAO.
